Platteview hasn't had much luck against Wahoo/Bishop Neumann recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Trojans will be playing in front of their home fans against the Warriors at 4:30 p.m.
Concordia/Brownell/Omaha Christian Academy hit Platteview with a four-run sixth inning on Friday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Trojans took a 6-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mustangs.
Platteview saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tucker Riha, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.
Meanwhile, Wahoo/Bishop Neumann waltzed into their game on Saturday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They were the clear victors by a 13-4 margin over the Cardinals. The contest marked the Warriors' most dominant win of the season.
Jase Kaminski was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, he posted two strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April of 2025. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and two RBI. Wahoo/Bishop Neumann is undefeated when Kaminski posts two or more runs, but 7-8 otherwise.
In other batting news, Wahoo/Bishop Neumann let DJ Oehm and Alex Barry run wild. Oehm went 2-for-3 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run, while Barry got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. That's the most RBI Oehm has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaden Christen, who went 1-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
Wahoo/Bishop Neumann kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post 11 or more hits.
Wahoo/Bishop Neumann's victory bumped their record up to 11-8. As for Platteview, their loss dropped their record down to 9-11.
