Softball Recap: Stevens Point Has No Trouble Against Marshfield

Stevens Point got themselves on the board against Marshfield on Thursday, but Marshfield never followed suit. They put the hurt on the Tigers with a sharp 13-0 victory. The win continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now won seven in a row.

Aubree Itzen was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Addi Peskie, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI.

Stevens Point was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .379 or higher in three consecutive matches.

Stevens Point's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-6. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Marshfield, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 12-9 record.
