Blair is 3-0 against Blake since November of 2014, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Blair Blazers will look to defend their home field against the Blake Bengals at 6:30 p.m. The timing isn't great for Blair: they have been struggling with five straight losses at home, while Blake has snatched up eight consecutive wins on the road.
Last Friday, Blair lost to Paint Branch on the road by a decisive 35-19 margin.
The losing side was boosted by Quinn Stofa, who threw for 236 yards and two touchdowns, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. Stofa was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 58 yards.
Meanwhile, Blake stacked a sixth blowout onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. They blew past Northwood, posting a 40-0 win on the road. Given Blake's advantage in MaxPreps' Maryland football rankings (they are ranked 54th, while Northwood is ranked 204th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Paint Branch's victory bumped their season record to 4-4 while Blair's loss dropped theirs to 2-6.
Everything came up roses for Blair against Blake in their previous matchup back in September of 2022 as the squad secured a 52-13 victory. Does Blair have another victory up their sleeve, or will Blake turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
