The Union City Bears were the 66-52 winner over the Iroquois Braves when they last played one another back in December of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Union City was dealt a 63-28 defeat at the hands of Iroquois on Saturday. Union City has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Iroquois to victory, but perhaps none more so than Cajohn Howard, who scored 14 points along with 8 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Kellen Burroughs, who dropped a double-double on 11 rebounds and 10 blocks.
Union City's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Iroquois, the win got them back to even at 1-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Union City will square off against North Clarion at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Iroquois, they will head out on the road to face off against Commodore Perry at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
