Exeter will challenge Hurley at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams are strolling into their games after big wins in their previous games.
Exeter barely beat Wheaton the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Tigers were the clear victors by a 15-4 margin over the Bulldogs on Monday. The win continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now won eight in a row.

Cameron Brattin made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out eight batters over 4.1 innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off six hits. Those eight strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. He has become a key player for Exeter: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 7-11 otherwise.
In other batting news, Kason Nelson was incredible, getting on base in all five of his plate appearances with seven stolen bases, four runs, and two doubles. What's more, he posted two RBI, the most he's had since back in April. Another player making a difference was Cason Antle, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with five stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Hurley, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Chadwick an 11-0 shutout on Monday.
Mason Dunn and Chase Bowling did most of the damage at the plate: Dunn went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI, while Bowling went 2-for-3 with two runs, two doubles, and one stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Noah Powell, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.
Hurley always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .519. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
The victory got Exeter back to even at 11-11. As for Hurley, their win bumped their record up to 5-15-1.
Exeter skirted past Hurley 2-0 in their previous meeting back in May of 2024. Does Exeter have another victory up their sleeve, or will Hurley turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
