Midfield entered their tilt with East Lake on Friday with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. They skirted past the East Lake Eagles 42-40.

Leading Midfield to victory were Malachi Robinson and Armonie Franklin. Robinson went 8 of 19 on his way to 16 points in addition to seven boards and three steals, while Franklin posted seven points along with nine assists and seven boards. Robinson has been hot recently, having also posted two or more blocks the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Doniven Wilson, who had six points.

Despite the loss, East Lake still got an impressive performance from Jeremiah Cooper, who put up 13 points. Andre Willis was another key player, putting up nine points.

Midfield is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season. A key ingredient in that success has been their performance when it comes to three-point shooting accuracy: their three-point shooting accuracy was 31.8% in those games and 26% outside of them. As for East Lake, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-2.

Midfield will take on Childersburg at 7:30 p.m. on January 3, 2025. As for East Lake, they and Bay will face off at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. East Lake is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 64 points per game this season.
