7A District 6 recap December 3, 2013
Osceola was able to crack the Top 25 in the state rankings this week after beating Sickles. The Kowboys came in at 23 in the state poll after placing at number 31 last week.
Adding to the longest winning streak in 7A District 6 this week, Osceola beat the Gryphons 19-14. The win marks 10th in a row for the Doug Nichols' team.
Lake Nona's TUCKER ISRAEL and RYAN SOUSA led the league in both passing and receiving yards. 6-1 quarterback ISRAEL has thrown for 3,979 yards this season, while SOUSA has 100 catches for 1,664 yards. Gateway's Isaiha Wharton leads the league in rushing yards with 892.
So far this year, he has garnered 55 catches for 909 yards.
The Kowboys and Sickles played the most contested game in the league this week, with the Kowboys eventually emerging with a 19-14 victory.
