Everything went their way against Clarendon Hall on Tuesday as Calhoun Academy made off with a 60-39 victory. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Calhoun Academy has posted since December 8, 2023.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Calhoun Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Hunter Thornburg, who scored 17 points along with eight rebounds. Thornburg has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last three times he's played. Chase Strickland was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on ten points and 12 rebounds.
Calhoun Academy's win bumped their record up to 9-5. As for Clarendon Hall, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-6.
Calhoun Academy won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Dorchester Academy at 7:25 p.m. on January 17th.
