Keller Central's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Riley Maxwell led the charge by scoring 12 points. Maxwell continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Skylaah Benbow, who scored nine points.
Byron Nelson lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Kinsey Morris, who scored 12 points along with five assists. Another player making a difference was Kennedy Moss, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds.
The win got Keller Central back to even at 13-13. As for Byron Nelson, they dropped their record down to 3-25 with that defeat, which was their seventh straight at home.
Keller Central will take on the Panthers at 5:45 p.m. on Friday. That game will pit two of the most dominant guards against one another: Adriana Robles and Malaiyah Foster.
