Chicago Military Academy posted their biggest win yet this season on Thursday. They put the hurt on Amandla Charter School with a sharp 60-34 win. The win made it back-to-back wins for Chicago Military Academy.
It was another big night for Jamhad Noye-Mohammad, who scored 27 points. That makes it four consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Chicago Military Academy's points. Zaid Shine was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Meanwhile, Bowen scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They breezed by Hirsch on the road to the tune of 89-59. Bowen has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matches by 22 points or more this season.
Jeremiah Carter and Rae'Qwon Rogers were among the main playmakers for Bowen as the former dropped a double-double on 20 points and 14 rebounds and the latter scored 16 points along with eight assists and five rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Carter has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Caleb Wright, who scored 14 points along with six rebounds.
Chicago Military Academy has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-8 record this season. As for Bowen, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-8.
Tuesday's contest will pit two of the most dominant players against one another: Trevion Anderson and Rogers. Anderson has been dynamite this season: he has averaged 15.6 points. For his part, Rogers has averaged 18 points and 2.4 steals.
Chicago Military Academy took a serious blow against Bowen when the teams last played back in January of 2023, falling 83-24. The match was all but decided by halftime, at which point Chicago Military Academy was down 59-8.
