The Bagdad Sultans lost against the Salome Frogs on January 16th, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Bagdad was outmatched by the Frogs on the road and fell 46-17. Bagdad has struggled against the Frogs recently, as their game on Tuesday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Leading Salome to victory were Kaniece Thomas and Grecia Leon. Thomas almost dropped a double-double on 13 points and nine rebounds, while Leon scored 18 points along with four steals. Leon is crushing the steal category: she's posted at least three every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Yareli Quiroz, who scored eight points along with three steals.
Bagdad's defeat dropped their record down to 6-11. As for Salome, the victory was the 11th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 21-6.
Bagdad does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Salome also has no future games currently scheduled.
