Addie Baker made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She struck out eight batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off two hits (and only one walk). She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two RBI.
In other batting news, Shelby Weigel was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with one home run and three runs. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Reagan Bollenbacher, who went 1-for-3 with four RBI and one triple.
South Adams always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .517. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Whitko only posted an OBP of .250.
Meanwhile, Woodlan got the win against Fort Wayne Bishop Luers on Tuesday by a conclusive 15-5. The win continues a trend for the Warriors in their matchups with the Knights: they've now won six in a row.
Sophia Martin looked comfortable as she pitched four innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Alyssa Harvey, who went 2-for-3 with two triples, three RBI, and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Lillian Riley, who went 2-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one double.

Woodlan's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Saturday. South Adams has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Woodlan, though, as they've been averaging only 3.5 strikeouts. Will South Adams keep running through batters, or will the Warriors buck the trend?
South Adams took their victory against Woodlan in their previous matchup on May 13th by a conclusive 15-6 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Starfires since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
