Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Rockville). They blew past the Suffield Wildcats 78-36 on Friday. The Rams pushed the score to 65-30 by the end of the third, a deficit the Wildcats had no chance of recovering from.

Rockville's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Darek Albert led the charge by going 8 for 17 on his way to 21 points and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Thomas Bannon, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 12 boards.

Rockville smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive rebounds in five consecutive contests.

Rockville pushed their record up to 5-2 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.0 points per game. As for Suffield, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Rockville didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 54-36 victory against Somers on the 14th. As for Suffield, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Windsor Locks at 6:45 p.m. on January 20th.
