The Olympic Trojans came into Wednesday's matchup having lost eight straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They skirted past Harding University 56-53. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Olympic also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2023.
Olympic found their leader in underclassman CANNON DEBERRY, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 19 rebounds. DEBERRY hasn't dropped below ten rebounds for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of JADEN HARDNETT, who scored 16 points.
Olympic's win ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-16. As for Harding University, their defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 5-13.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Olympic is on the road again on Tuesday and plays the Pumas at 7:30 p.m. on February 6th. Hopefully Palisades focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 18 on Friday. As for Harding University, they will head out on the road to square off against the Cougars at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Chambers' favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season.
