Softball Recap: Twentynine Palms Snags Eighth Win in Last Nine Games

Twentynine Palms made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Coachella Valley, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Wildcats were the clear victors by a 16-5 margin over the Mighty Arabs on Monday. The Wildcats might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight contests by six runs or more this season.

Hailey Stephenson was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with four RBI, two doubles, and one run. That's the most hits she has posted since back in March of 2024. Jada Lampkin was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-3.

Twentynine Palms was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .484. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .300 or higher in nine consecutive matchups.

Twentynine Palms has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.4 runs over those games. As for Coachella Valley, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-5.

Twentynine Palms will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Mighty Arabs: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday.
