After two games on the road, Skyline Prep is heading back home. They will take on Sequoia Pathfinder Verrado Way at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Skyline Prep will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Arizona Rankings (they are ranked 211th, while Sequoia Pathfinder Verrado Way is ranked fifth).
On Tuesday, Skyline Prep had to suffer through a rough 90-35 loss at the hands of Premier Prep- PHHoenix.
Meanwhile, Sequoia Pathfinder Verrado Way had already won 19 in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 24 points), and they went ahead and made it 20 on Monday. They came out on top against West Phoenix by a score of 69-61. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
It was another big night for TJ Clark, who scored 21 points along with two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Malachi Long, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds.
Skyline Prep has traveled a rocky road recently having lost 15 of their last 16 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-21 record this season. As for Sequoia Pathfinder Verrado Way, their win was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 25-1.
