There's no place like home for the Wayne Blue Devils, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road on Friday. They came out on top against Lakeview by a score of 58-51 on Saturday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Wayne also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2022.
Wayne's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Gavin Redden, who scored 15 points. Redden continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Drue Davis, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 10 rebounds.
Wayne's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 3-2. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.0 points per game. As for Lakeview, they now have a losing record at 1-2.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wayne will be home for the holidays to greet Wisner-Pilger on Friday. Lakeview will take on Logan View/Scribner-Snyder at TBD on Tuesday.
