Corry has won five straight games at home (dating back to last season), while Oil City has won five straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Friday. The Beavers will welcome the Oilers at 7:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
If Corry beats Oil City with 28 points on Friday, it's going to be the team's new lucky number: they've won their past two games with that exact score. The Beavers were the clear victors by a 28-7 margin over Harbor Creek on Friday.

A big part of Corry's win came down to the chemistry between Deion Canady and his top target Keaton Frisina. Canady rushed for 73 yards and one touchdown on only eight carries while Frisina picked up 57 receiving yards and one score. That's the most rushing yards Canady has posted since back in August.
Corry's run defense was locked in: Harbor Creek could only muster 3.5 yards per carry. The team can thank Owen Nickerson for the heroic effort on defense: he. Corry didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 5.6.
Corry didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off four passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Frisina, Blake Cook, Connor Sterling, and Marcus Meredith picked up one apiece.
Meanwhile, while Oil City put up plenty of points on Friday, the same can't be said for Franklin. The Oilers simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Knights 47-0. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Oilers' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania football rankings (they are ranked 178th, while the Knights are ranked 540th).
Corry better keep an eye on Steven Heise. He was instrumental in Oil City's win, rushing for 180 yards and three TDs on only eight carries.
Oil City's defense made their presence known, laying out Jayden Wilmoth three times. In that department, Brayden Buzard was the leader with two sacks. He has been hot, having also posted six or more total tackles the last six times he's played.
Corry's victory bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Oil City, their win bumped their record up to 8-1.
Corry didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Oil City in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, but they still walked away with a 26-21 victory. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was the Oilers' Dawan Cruz, who rushed for 83 yards and one touchdown, and also caught one score. Now that he's got a second chance to win this matchup, will the Beavers still be able to contain Cruz? Check MaxPreps.com after the match to find out.
