Softball Recap: Atlantic Shores Christian Comes Up Short

Atlantic Shores Christian was the 9-8 winner over Peninsula Catholic when they last played one another last Thursday, but their luck changed this time around. Atlantic Shores Christian fell 10-7 to Peninsula Catholic on Saturday. The Seahawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Skylar Carter was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times she's played. Another player making a difference was Olivia Edenfield, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-4.

Atlantic Shores Christian now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Peninsula Catholic, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 8-2.

Looking ahead, Atlantic Shores Christian will venture away from home to face off against Norfolk Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Peninsula Catholic, they will host Isle of Wight Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
