First Academy are taking a road trip to challenge Legacy Charter at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. First Academy is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.1 runs per game this season.
Having struggled with five defeats in a row, First Academy turned things around against Real Life Christian Academy on Tuesday. They blew past the Raptors 12-3. Surprisingly, this marked the fourth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor in this series.
Colin Bryan made a splash while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out eight over four innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Cole Bell and Dylan Bell did most of the damage at the plate: Cole went 2-for-5 with two runs and two RBI, while Dylan got on base in two of his five plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. That's the most hits Cole has posted since back in April of 2025. Brayden Keller also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.
Meanwhile, Legacy Charter was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 21-10 to Colonial.
Legacy Charter got a big performance out of Wyatt Gorby, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. Chani Abreu Jr. was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double.
Legacy Charter's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for First Academy, they picked up their first road victory, bumping their record up to 2-5.
First Academy beat Legacy Charter 12-7 in their previous matchup back in March of 2023. Does First Academy have another victory up their sleeve, or will Legacy Charter turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
