The victory was some much needed relief for Fort Hancock as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.
Fort Hancock's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Emmanuel Herrera led the charge by scoring 27 points along with five assists and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Zaid Hermosillo, who shot 5-for-7 from downtown and almost dropped a double-double on 23 points and nine rebounds.
Meanwhile, Wink was beaten by the Wildcats 72-40 on Tuesday.
Fort Hancock's victory bumped their record up to 11-13. As for Wink, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-9.
