The Gila Ridge Hawks scored the most points they've had all season to find success  on Thursday. They really took it to Alhambra for the full four quarters, racking up a  78-49 victory at home. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest  victory Gila Ridge has managed all season.
  Easton Sheppeard was  his usual excellent self,  scoring 46 points along with five  steals. That makes it six consecutive games in which  he has scored at least a third of Gila Ridge's points.  Elijah Harrington was another key contributor,  scoring seven points along with five  rebounds and two  steals.
 Gila Ridge's victory  ended a three-game drought at home  and  bumped them up to 5-14. As for Alhambra, they  still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-13.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Gila Ridge won't have much time to rest: their next  contest is against San Luis at 7:00  p.m.  on January 12th. Alhambra won't have much time to rest: their next  match is against Camelback at 7:00  p.m.  on January 12th. Camelback presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Alhambra in Arizona (Camelback is ranked 127th, while Alhambra is ranked 335th).
