Providence Classical fell to Jackson Day 65-60. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their last game on Monday (57), Providence Classical still had to take the loss.
When it comes to explaining why Providence Classical lost on Tuesday, one person who can't be blamed is Xan Rahalawicz. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 25 points and 13 steals. Rahalawicz has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last 16 times he's played. Another player making a difference was Isaac Martin, who scored nine points along with nine rebounds and two steals.
Providence Classical's defeat dropped their record down to 11-6. As for Jackson Day, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a massive bump to their 12-14 record this season.
Providence Classical and Liberty Preparatory Christian will face off at 6:45 p.m. on January 29th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. As for Jackson Day, they will head out on the road to challenge Lee Park Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
