Concordia faced Guardian Angels Central Catholic in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Mustangs fell 2-0 to the Bluejays. The Mustangs' loss signaled the end of their 11-game winning streak.

Grace Samuelson paced Concordia's offense, picking up four kills. Samuelson were helped by Natalie Perkinson and Alyse Moulton, who contributed eight assists each.

Guardian Angels Central Catholic found their leader in sophomore Emma Cohee, who had 24 assists and three digs. Cohee is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 17 or more in each of the last 26 games she's played dating back to last season.

Concordia's defeat dropped their record down to 20-5. As for Guardian Angels Central Catholic, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 18-2.

Looking ahead, Concordia will welcome Gross Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Guardian Angels Central Catholic, they are taking a road trip to take on Battle Creek at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
