Biglerville has gone 9-1 against Hanover recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Canners will square off against the Nighthawks at 4:15 p.m. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Biglerville was handed a heart-breaking two-run defeat in their last game, but they sure didn't let that happen against Fairfield on Tuesday. The Canners put the hurt on the Knights with a sharp 8-2 victory. The result was nothing new for the Canners, who have now won five matchups by six runs or more so far this season.
Parker Black made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed seven innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off four hits. What's more, he posted three strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April of 2024. He was also big at the plate, going 3-for-5 with one RBI.

In other batting news, Gavin Althoff and Jared Hollabaugh did most of the damage at the plate: Althoff got on base in four of his five plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI, while Hollabaugh got on base in four of his five plate appearances with three RBI, one run, and one double. Those three runs gave Althoff a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Brayden Pearce, who went 4-for-5 with two doubles.
Biglerville kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Fairfield only managed five hits.
For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last four times Hanover and Fairfield have met, but the home crowd finally got their W on Monday. The Nighthawks were the clear victors by a 7-1 margin over the Knights. The win continues a trend for the Nighthawks in their matchups with the Knights: they've now won three in a row.
Chase Foreman spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on six hits and racked up seven Ks. He also tossed a walk, which is notable because Hanover is 3-1 when he allows at most two walks, but 3-11 otherwise.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Tim Wagaman, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double. That double marked the first that he has hit this season. Reece Long was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and one RBI.
Biglerville's record is now 6-9. As for Hanover, their record now sits at 6-12.
Everything went Biglerville's way against Hanover when the teams last played on April 9th, as Biglerville made off with a 15-3 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Canners since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
