Basketball Recap: Glenn Piles Up the Points Against Jimtown

You're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter, and that's exactly how it played out for Glenn on Saturday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that they blew the Jimtown Jimmies out of the water with a 52-23 final score. The Falcons have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six contests by 23 points or more this season.

Glenn found their leader in sophomore Mia Hurford, who went 8 for 10 on her way to 16 points. Addison Reese was another key player, putting up ten points.

Glenn smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive boards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Jimtown only pulled down five offensive rebounds.

Jimtown lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Lily Gaugler, who posted eight points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kamryn Williams, who put up eight points.

The win made it two in a row for Glenn and bumps their season record up to 8-2. As for Jimtown, their defeat was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-9.

Glenn wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 71-20 victory against Mishawaka on the 11th. As for Jimtown, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 27-15 loss against Elkhart Christian Academy on the 10th.
