Baseball Recap: Altamont's Victory on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Altamont entered their tilt with Wendover on Friday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They never let the Wildcats get on the board and left with a 16-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Longhorns, who have now won nine games by six runs or more so far this season.

Colt Duncan made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out six batters over two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits (and not a single walk). That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in August. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Levi Scott and Asa Fisher did most of the damage at the plate: Scott went 3-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base, while Fisher went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, five RBI, and one run. Those five RBI gave Fisher a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Parker Harrison, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI and one run.

Altamont's win bumped their record up to 12-6. As for Wendover, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-7.

Coming up, Altamont will face off against Tintic at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Wendover, they will square off against Panguitch at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.
