The Collinsville Cardinals's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. The contest between Collinsville and Bishop Kelley wasn't particularly close, with Collinsville falling 50-36. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Collinsville in their matchups with Bishop Kelley: they've now lost six in a row.
Bishop Kelley was led to victory by Julia Grisaffe and Anne Blankenship. Grisaffe dropped a double-double on ten points and 11 rebounds, while Blankenship scored 17 points along with eight rebounds and four steals. Blankenship continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Erin Jolin was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with five rebounds.
Collinsville now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Bishop Kelley, the win got them back to even at 3-3.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Collinsville will face off against Tahlequah at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Tahlequah is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling. As for Bishop Kelley, they will head out on the road to face off against Grove at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
