Fredericksburg proved they can win big last Friday (they won by 18) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past the Davenport Wolves 9-8. The Billies haven't had any issues with the Wolves recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.
Makenna Duecker made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing seven innings while giving up three earned (and five unearned) runs off eight hits. Duecker was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one double.
In other batting news, Addison Schoessow was incredible, going 4-for-5 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. That's the most hits she has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Ava Stuewe, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-5.
