Castle Park moved up to 754 from 796 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Metro - Pacific. The Trojans were able to make move up by defeating Montgomery 35-6.
Mater Dei extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Sweetwater, 35-14. The victory was the sixth in a row for the Crusaders.
Castle Park's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Juan Luna threw for 134 and one touchdown and David Anderson had 74 yards receiving. On the ground Aaron Leon chipped in 74 yards. Leon helped Castle Park's passing attack out by catching two balls for 60 yards.
Hans Graham's team's Luna and Anderson have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Luna has thrown for 843 yards this season, while Anderson has 16 catches for 330 yards. Marcos Mathis from the Aztecs leads the league in rushing with 363 yards.
Mater Dei led Metro - Pacific in scoring this week after putting up 35 points on the Red Devils. Max Hernandez in the win.
