Crestview is 7-2 against Jefferson since January of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Crestview Knights will look to defend their home court against the Jefferson Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Friday, Crestview didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Allen East, but they still walked away with a 56-52 win. Given Crestview's advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 152nd, while Allen East is ranked 440th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Jefferson fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back victories it seems like their luck might finally be changing. In a tight matchup that could have gone either way, they made off with a 33-32 win over Paulding.
Crestview's victory bumped their record up to 10-5. As for Jefferson, their win bumped their record up to 3-9.
Everything came up roses for Crestview against Jefferson when the teams last played back in January of 2023 as the squad secured a 72-43 win. Will Crestview repeat their success, or does Jefferson have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
