The biggest upset of the week belonged to Roanoke Rapids, who took down 276th ranked Roanoke Rapids, 28-3.
Bunn extended the longest winning streak in 2A Northern Carolina this week by beating Franklinton, 45-8. This was the team's fourth consecutive win.
Corinth Holders's Kenneth Collins and Hampton Smith have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Collins has thrown for 1495 yards this season, while Smith has 27 catches for 467 yards. Jaquan Jones from Warren County leads the league in rushing with 593 yards.
Two of the top units in the league will face off this week when Corinth Holders takes on Bunn. Barry Honeycutt's team's offense has recorded 179 points this season, making them No. 1 in the league, while Chris Miller's team has permitted only 99 on the year.
A big matchup in 2A Northern Carolina this week will be when the Rams take on the Yellowjackets. Franklinton is in first place, while Roanoke Rapids is in fifth place.
Corinth Holders moved up to 244 from 329 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. A 28-3 win over Russell Weinstein's team helped Corinth Holders improve its standing.
