The Spring Lions's game  on Friday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them  on Saturday. They slipped by The Woodlands  38-37. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Spring also won the last time the pair played  back in December of 2022.
 It was another big night for  Za'Kenya Thompson, who  scored 21 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which  she has scored at least 25% of Spring's points. The team also got some help courtesy of  Mariah Goodjoint, who  scored 7 points.
 Spring's win was  their third straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 10-5. As for The Woodlands, their loss dropped their record down to 7-7.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Spring's homestand continues as they prepare to take on MacArthur at 7:00  p.m.  on December 8th. MacArthur will have to bring their A-game into this one,  as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 1026th, while Spring is ranked 228th). As for The Woodlands, they will be playing in front of their home fans against New Caney at 6:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. New Caney is coming into the  game on a three-game losing streak.
