Basketball Recap: Mckelvey Foor Key Part of a Team Effort in Mountaineers Win

There's no place like home for Berlin Brothersvalley, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They came out on top against the Juniata Valley Hornets by a score of 63-53 on Monday. The win was some much needed relief for the Mountaineers as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Berlin Brothersvalley to victory, but perhaps none more so than McKelvey Foor, who posted 17 points and six assists. The dominant performance also gave Foor a new career-high in blocks (two). Another player making a difference was Joseph Richardson, who made all 5 shots he took for 10 points and seven rebounds.

Berlin Brothersvalley picked up their first home victory, bumping their record up to 2-4. As for Juniata Valley, they now have a losing record at 3-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Berlin Brothersvalley will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Perry Traditional Academy at 7:30 p.m. on December 27th. As for Juniata Valley, they will host West Branch at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
