Several Royal Knights players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Carl Walls, who scored nine points along with two steals. Walls hasn't dropped below two steals for nine straight games. Tierre Brown was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with two steals.
James River HomeSchool got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was NiMon Campbell out in front who scored 11 points. The team also got some help courtesy of David Fiordelise, who scored 11 points along with two steals.
Guardian Christian Academy has not been sharp recently as the team's lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record this season. As for James River HomeSchool, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-6.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Guardian Christian Academy will take on the Eagles at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Williamsburg Christian Academy has now lost seven straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 15. As for James River HomeSchool, they will look to defend their home court on Saturday against the Patriots at 12:00 p.m.
