Meanwhile, Thayer's game on Friday was all tied up 7-7 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They had to suffer through a rough 35-7 loss at the hands of Mountain Grove. Having soared to a lofty 68 points in the game before, Thayer couldn't push the score so high this time.
Charleston's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 2-7. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 13.3 points per game. As for Thayer, their loss dropped their record down to 5-4.
