McClatchy is on a 11-game streak of home wins, while Gregori is on a six-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The McClatchy Lions will take on the Gregori Jaguars at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Tuesday, McClatchy sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over River City. Two seems to be a good number for McClatchy as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of goals in their previous game.
They were led to victory by the tag-team duo of
Angel Mendoza-Ramirez and
Nathanial Ochoa, who scored both of McClatchy's goals. The pair have combined for a total of nine so far this season.
Meanwhile, Gregori stacked a seventh blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Monday. They never let Pitman onto the board and left with a 3-0 win. That's two games straight that Gregori has won by exactly three goals.
McClatchy has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 18-4-5 record this season. As for Gregori, their win bumped their record up to 15-4.
