The Windham Whippets will head out on the road to face off against the Killingly Redmen at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Windham is coming into the contest on a six-game losing streak.
Windham pushed their score all the way to 61 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 67-61 hit to the loss column at the hands of Waterford.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Anthony Green, who scored 26 points. He is trending in the right direction, as he's improved his point production for three games straight. The team also got some help courtesy of Tahj Jones, who scored 12 points along with seven assists and two steals.
Griswold typically has all the answers at home, but on Friday Killingly proved too difficult a challenge. They walked away with a 64-52 victory over the Wolverines. 64 seems to be a good number for Killingly as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of points in their previous game.
Windham's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Killingly, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-9.
Windham strolled past Killingly when the teams last played back in February of 2022 by a score of 56-39. The rematch might be a little tougher for Windham since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
