Miguel Garcia-Salas and Mark Garcia-Salas provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Noli Indian. The connection was good for 65 yards, the longest such play in Majestic (8 Man) this season.
Calvary Baptist was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from third to first in the league. The Cougars vanquished the Braves 48-26 earlier in the week.
Calvary Baptist's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Garcia-Salas threw for 74 and one touchdown and Garcia-Salas had 65 yards receiving. On the ground Garcia-Salas chipped in 162 yards. Solomon Frisco helped Calvary Baptist's passing attack out by catching one ball for 10 yards.
Cornerstone Christian's Dax McGregor and Joe Cody have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. McGregor has thrown for 476 yards this season, while Cody, a 5-foot-10 receiver, has six catches for 149 yards. Brandon Garcia from Marywood-Palm Valley leads the league in rushing with 465 yards.
A big matchup in Majestic (8 Man) this week will be when the Crusaders take on Crossroads Christian. At the moment, Cornerstone Christian is in third, while Crossroads Christian is in second.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when Calvary Chapel takes on Lincoln Dial's team. The Lions have allowed 104 points this season, while the Cougars have given up 106. Calvary Chapel allowed 50 points last week as it lost to Lutheran.
