Lutheran North is 0-10 against the Bull Dogs since January of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Lutheran North Mustangs will head out on the road to take on the Loyola Bull Dogs at 7:30 p.m. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
After only 23 points in their last game, Lutheran North made sure to put some points up on the board against the Cranes on Friday. Lutheran North walked away with a 63-53 win over the Cranes.
Lutheran North's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Joshua Brown, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 12 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Tommy Valenti, who scored nine points along with six rebounds.
Meanwhile, Loyola humbled the Fighting Irish with a 68-41 victory. That looming 68-41 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Loyola yet this season.
The victory got Lutheran North back to even at 7-7. As for Loyola, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a massive bump to their 7-10 record this season.
Lutheran North lost to the Bull Dogs on the road by a decisive 53-36 margin when the teams last played back in January. Can Lutheran North avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
