After losing to the Catskill Cats the last time they met, the Hudson Blue Hawks decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Hudson had just enough and edged Catskill out 45-42. The win made it back-to-back wins for Hudson.
Leading Hudson to victory were Malia Jackson and Amya Moore. Jackson dropped a double-double on 13 points and 13 rebounds, while Moore scored 18 points along with 8 rebounds and 3 steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Jackson has scored at least 25% of Hudson's points.
Hudson now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Catskill, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hudson will face off against Cairo-Durham at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Catskill, they will head out on the road to face off against Taconic Hills at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
