Maplesville barely beat Billingsley the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Red Devils put the hurt on the Bears with a sharp 12-1 win on Wednesday. The Red Devils might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matches by six runs or more this season.

Maplesville is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.1 runs over those games. As for Billingsley, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-11.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Maplesville will square off against Holtville at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Red Devils' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bulldogs have averaged an impressive 7.1 runs per game this season. As for Billingsley, they will head out on the road to challenge Autauga Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Generals will roll in looking for their 12th straight win, something the Bears surely won't give up without a fight.
