Tri-City Christian kicked off their season on the road on Friday and hit a couple of potholes. They were outmatched by the Orange Glen Patriots and fell 55-12. The Eagles haven't had much luck with the Patriots recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.
Despite the defeat, Tri-City Christian saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Noah Haber rushed for 82 yards and one touchdown, and also picked up 82 receiving yards and one TD. Haber really tore up the turf during one magnificent 86-yard run.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Orange Glen to victory, but perhaps none more so than Abraham Cervantes, who rushed for 101 yards and three scores on only 12 carries. Aldair Samano was another key player, rushing for 60 yards and a pair of TDs.
Tri-City Christian has already played their next contest, a 36-6 loss against The Meadows School on the 29th. As for Orange Glen, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 41-0 defeat against Morse on the 28th.
