After soaring to 36 points the game before, The Coral Springs Colts were a bit more limited in their game on Friday. They received a tough blow as they fell 21-6 to Boyd Anderson. Coral Springs lost against Boyd Anderson in their previous head to head back in October of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 8-0 score last time.
Opious Knox jr threw for 152 yards and a touchdown. Jamarien Edgerton was his top target, picking up 137 receiving yards. On the ground, Leroy Cooks iv rushed for 52 yards.
Boyd Anderson can attribute much of their success to Isaiah Parks, who rushed for 82 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 132 yards and a touchdown on only 11 passes. Boyd Anderson also got help from Deshawn blair who showed off his sure hands for 89 receiving yards.
Coral Springs now has a losing record at 4-5. As for Boyd Anderson, their win ended a eight-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-8.
Coral Springs will take on Monarch at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Monarch presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Coral Springs in Florida (Monarch is ranked 49th, while Coral Springs is ranked 376th). As for Boyd Anderson, they will be playing at home against Dillard at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Dillard will be hoping to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each game than the last.
