The Northwestern Warriors's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their sixth straight defeat. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 54-31 walloping at the hands of Graham Local. Northwestern was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Graham Local apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.
Northwestern lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Mason McDermott, who scored five points along with four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Jacob Shaffer, who scored four points along with four steals.
Northwestern has traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last ten matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-12 record this season. As for Graham Local, their win ended a six-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-12.
Northwestern won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Southeastern Local at 7:30 p.m. on February 3rd. Hopefully Northwestern focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 18 on Friday. As for Graham Local, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Legacy Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. Legacy Christian Academy is coming into the matchup with four straight losses on the road, so Graham Local is out to stop a squad with plenty of momentum.
