Make it six blowout wins for the Bartow Yellow Jackets this season. They claimed a resounding 68-40 win over Lake Gibson on the road. The win was just what Bartow needed coming off of a 80-56 defeat in their prior matchup.
Bartow got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Edward Wiggins out in front who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 11 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Wiggins has scored all season. Rickjerlin Senior feliz was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with six rebounds and four blocks.
Bartow now has a winning record of 9-8. As for Lake Gibson, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-9.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bartow will take on Kathleen at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Lake Gibson, Lake Gibson and Lake Minneola will face off at 8:00 p.m. on January 19th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
