Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory is 0-4 against Marin Catholic since March of 2015 but things could change  on Friday. The Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory Fightin' Irish will host the Marin Catholic Wildcats  at 3:15  p.m. The two teams have allowed few  runs on average, (Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory 3.5, Marin Catholic 4) so any  runs scored will be well earned.
Last Tuesday, Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory got the win against University  by a conclusive  17-1. The  victory made it back-to-back  wins for the Fightin' Irish.

 Adriana Giomi made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound,   keeping things locked down with   no  earned runs or hits while striking out seven over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  given up  more than two  hits in three consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box,  scoring three  runs and  stealing  Two bases. while going 3-for-3. That's the most  hits  she has posted since back in April of 2024.
 In other batting news, Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory let  Nicole Abunda and  Wanda Wilson run wild. Abunda  went 2-for-3 with one  home run, three  RBI,  and two  runs, while  Wilson  got on base  in all four of her plate appearances with two  runs, one  triple,  and two  RBI. Abunda also put up a  double, which was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was  Sydney Endo, who  scored two  runs while  getting on base  in all four of her plate appearances.
 Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .848. That's the best  OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Marin Catholic suffered their closest  defeat since April 15, 2024 on Wednesday. They fell just short of Archie Williams by a score of  3-1. The  game marked the Wildcats' lowest-scoring  matchup so far this season.
 Malliah Foster spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on six hits and racked up 12 Ks.
 At the plate, Marin Catholic saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Morgan Carlson, who  went 1-for-3 with one  stolen base.
 Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Marin Catholic, they now  have a losing record of 2-3.
 Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory might still be hurting after the  13-0 loss they got from Marin Catholic  in their previous meeting  back in March of 2019.
