Basketball Game Preview: Stuart W. Cramer Storm vs. Charlotte Latin Hawks

Charlotte Latin is hoping to do what Kings Mountain couldn't on Thursday: put an end to Stuart W. Cramer's winning streak, which now stands at five games. Stuart W. Cramer really took it to Kings Mountain for the full four quarters, racking up a 61-16 victory. With the Storm ahead 37-4 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.

Oshauna Holland and Lauren Humphrey were among the main playmakers for Stuart W. Cramer as the former went 11 of 15 en route to 26 points along with eight assists and six steals and the latter went 9 of 13 en route to 21 points and six rebounds. Holland has been hot for a while, having posted three or more steals the last 39 times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Hadley Womack, who posted six points.

Meanwhile, Charlotte Latin came tearing into Thursday's game with eight straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 26.3 points) and they left with even more momentum. They took their contest with ease, bagging a 67-18 win over the Pride. Given the Hawks' advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 42nd, while the Pride are ranked 446th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Charlotte Latin's victory bumped their record up to 9-1. As for Stuart W. Cramer, they pushed their record up to 8-1 with the win, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season.
