The Columbine Rebels entered their tilt with the Chatfield Chargers with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Columbine enjoyed a cozy 67-51 victory over the Chargers on Friday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Columbine also won the last time the pair played last Friday.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Columbine to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jordyn Washington, who scored 22 points along with four steals. Washington is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last six games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kortny Brock, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds.
Columbine has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season. As for Chatfield, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-7.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Columbine will take on the Mustangs at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Colorado (Ralston Valley is ranked 24th, while the Rebels are ranked 29th). As for Chatfield, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Lakewood has now lost nine straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 7.
