Volleyball Recap: KIPP Navigate College Prep Extends Winning Streak to Two

KIPP Navigate College Prep won the last time they faced Mountain View Academy, and Gabriela Heredia did her part to make sure it happened again. The Tigers put the hurt on the Mustangs with a sharp 3-0 victory on Monday with plenty of help from Heredia, who had five aces. She is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served two or more in each of the last three games she's played.

While KIPP Navigate College Prep won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-23, 25-7.

The win made it two in a row for KIPP Navigate College Prep and bumps their season record up to 5-1. As for Mountain View Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-4.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. KIPP Navigate College Prep is set to face off against their familiar foe Luis Valdez Leadership Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Mountain View Academy will challenge rival Summit Tahoma at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
